Run 661 – The Mother of All Ball Breakers Run (MOABBR)

23rd April 9 a.m. - the 27th Anniversary of the Bangalore Hash - at Soma Vineyards some 12-15 intrepid half marathoners gathered for the start of the Ball Breaker run and were off on to the first of 3 loops of the run. The sun was bright and warm, but with a warm breeze, the weather seemed bearable. The support ambulance sponsored by Loose Screw also in attendance. Water vans despatched to the watering holes stops. By 10 a.m. most of the other hashers who had signed up for the leisurely walk - some 65 of them.. were soon set off on their walk/run with coopted hare Half Moon and hare Take Your Pick. About 30 minutes later hot and warm walkers trudged up and indulged ineating melons, oranges and grapes and were soon on their way towards the lake for the second leg of their expedition in the heat. Kama Sutra and Gargi were brought down by the heat and had to be adminstered hydration solutions and were soon in fine fettle. Runners kept appearing now and then and some 5 of them actually completed the ball breaker among them Phat Phatiya,Johan, Vijay and a couple more totalling 5..All given special signature medals and certificates. The circle was held with the run being christened as the MOABBR run - Mother of All Ball Breaker Runs.. and sure it was. The hares Raw Sex, Take your pic, Rinaz and Shilpi, didnt want to get up its seems from the cool warmth of the ice!! Several batches of virgins were iced and charges made. Reggie TNT from Hyderabad announced the Monsoon Madness event at Goa and Loose Screw and company announced as hares for the next run. Our sponsor Raghavan was iced and he promptly agreed to sponsor the next such event in December which would be the curtain raiser for the Nash Hash being hosted by Bangalore hash. Roshan, the manager of the resort was iced too for being so gracious and helpful. Cyber was iced for attempting the Himalayan base camp trek without proper training.. Great effort though! With fine sampling of Soma white and Rose wines and Behrouz biryani and more than 100 cans of KF beer consumed the festivities ended around 2 p,m and hashers made their way home along with their special designer drifit T shirts.
