The Toughest Run in Bangalore!
And now, Hashers, announcing the return of our annual Ball Breaker run, an endurance challenge for the hardiest and toughest of runners. You may have done the Ultra or the full marathon, but Bangalore Hashes tough countryside trail will take you to the extreme edge of performance running.. And its being done at one of the most scenic places in Bangalore – Soma Vineyards, abutting a majestic hill and an amazingly enchanting lake that’s full to the brim about 45 km away from the hustle and bustle of the city.. Cool quiet calm and the splendour of nature to challenge you. Are you up to it?
You got two choices… participate in the ball breaker run starting at 7:30 a.m for a 21-30 km running circuit or join the Vineyard leisurely hash walk and run at 10:30 in the morning.
In either case, enjoy the amazingly green countryside, savour the beauty of unspoilt countryside. And while you do that – taste Soma wine, the nectar of the Gods, lunch beer and a whole lot of hash fun.
Runners get an chance to win medals.. And hashers get a chance to taste the best of wine, amber fluids and our favorite Kingfisher beer!
You get a Drifit Tee, complementary wine tasting, snacks, cold drinks/juices, fruit and lunch. The Ball breaker trail will be challenging for the runners, while lazy Hashers enjoy the scenic beauty of the location. Water stops will have energy refreshments, biscuits and rehydration liquids for the runners.Medical assistance will be on standby at the run site.

In either case please reach the run location 45 minutes to an hour earlier to avoid delays enroute due to unpredictable traffic conditions.
Transport arrangements are being made for those wanting to utilize hash transport for both the options at extra cost of about Rs 350 per person or actuals.
By participating in the Ball breaker run (if that's the option you choose), you confirm that you are physically fit and do not have any medical condition that might hinder your ability to complete this event and will not hold the organizers responsible for any injury or mishap. For the normal hash run, anyone can participate. The organizers will review and contact all runners to verify their fitness levels through past and recent events that they have attended.

Approximate driving time of 1 hour 30minutes from MG Road. Plan to give about 1:45 hours time from center of town and appropriately adjust from elsewhere. You can use the google pin https://goo.gl/maps/dEf4WD1nkH72 and/or follow the directions given below.
Directions:
0 km: Columbia Asia Hospital - drive towards airport on elevated road
4.8km: Get off highway and turn left into the service road
5.2km: Turn left on to narrow lane
5.4km: turn left and head towards Yelahanka police station
5.9km: Turn right near Yelahanka Police Station
16.5km: Pass Angsana Resorts on your left
24.7km: Cross the railway track
28km: Go straight at the circle and take the upper road (slightly right)
30.3km: Slight right and immediate left over the bridge (this is new as the railway over bridge is complete)
31.9km: Go straight at the circle towards Hindupur/Ananthapur
39.8km: Turn left just before the Indian oil petrol pump
41.5km: Take the slight right turn towards Green Valley Resort
43.5km: Pass Green Valley Resort on your right
47km: Turn right (sign for SK farms)
47.1km: Turn right into mud track (sign for Soma) and drive 1.5 km on mud road to the vineyard
