Back to Basics Hash Run!
After a supercharged Ball Breaker Run at Soma Vineyards, we set our sight in September 2018 on a short quiet weekend sojourn at the pictureque and unspoilt Horsley hills. Situated about 140 km and 3.5 hours from Bangalore with access by largely excellent roads with modest traffic. Get away from the city din and chillout the weekend in peace, solitude - gazing the stars and more with the company that you like and of course with hashers! Rooms to suit your budget a/c and non a/c - hash activities - trail running - and a view of a beautiful Gangotri mini lake, campfire, music dance hash style. Its a back to the basics hashing the way it should be!
The program:
28th a.m. - Optional additional stay - enjoy with the organizing team : Room only tariffs will be provided on request.
29th 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. - Registration and room checkin in that order
29th 11 a.m. - Hash beer bar open
29th 12 p.m. onwards - lunch in dining area
29th meet at 3:30 p.m. campfire location
29th Run 682 : A to B run starts 4:p.m. Hares - Skyhigh, Lost Screw, Flame Thrower and Half Size
29th run finish and ferry back to resort from end point starting 5:30 p.m. Runners can run back to the hotel.
29th 7:30 p.m. to 10:30p.m. Campfire,
29th 7:30 p.m. to 9:15 MH3 Barbecue
29th 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. DJ Mukund at Campfire canopy
29th 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Hash bar with beer, soft drinks and more amber fluids.
(soft drinks and soda complementary, all alco beverages at Rs 50 per beer/large serving)
29th 8:30 p.m. onwards dinner at campfire location
30th 9:00 a.m. Run 683 Recovery run and circle. Hash beer will be available till stocks last.
30th 10:30 am. Chennai and Hyderabad hashers leave
30th 11 a.m. Checkout.
20th 12 p.m. onwards lunch and depart to Bangalore
30th 7:30 to 8 a.m. : Base to Top Run 682C will commence with water stop at midway point.
Runners will travel from Bangalore and start the run - run up the hill and down again and then come up in their cars for breakfast.
Runners will have option to stay back for lunch and leave later.
Rooms with all hash costs - meals lunch on 29th to lunch on 30th - cold drinks and snacks at our events - included as well as a special drifit Tee. Excludes travel and beer/liquor/extras.
Horrors below 5 are at no additional cost and those between 5-11 can share parents bed and pay Rs 500 per horror.
A/C room Twin sharing on 29th : Rs 3500 per person.
(Rs 200 discount in the form of beer for those staying in soft top a/c rooms)
Non a/c room Twin sharing on 29th : Rs 2600 per person.
If available, triple sharing rates for 29th :
A/C room Twin sharing on 29th : Rs 3000 per person
Non a/c room Twin sharing on 29th : Rs 2400 per person.
Room only on 28th with breakfast on 29th: A/c Rs 3500 per room and Rs 1800 for non a/c per room.
All other extras including bottled water if ordered through room service to individual hashers account and paid in cash on ordering.

Recommended transport mode is by car pooling which we are actively coordinating @ Rs 500 per person. Should that not be available, we will have a/c TT @ Rs 1200 per person.
Hashers from Chennai and Hyderabad - we will be happy to arrange rooms for you on 28th at cost so that you can travel comfortably in time to take part in this run. A/c at Rs 3600 per room (single/twin sharing) and Rs 1800 per room (single/twin sharing).

For runners we are organizing a base to top of the hill run on 30th early morning with an elevation change of 1200 ft over 8.1 k.m. We will organize runner car pools that will leave Bangalore at 4 a.m. to reach the hill base at 7:30 a.m. for this special runners challenge. Upto it?

The prelube for this event is planned at Arbor Breweries on 26th September from 7:30 p.m. onwards. Beer and veg/non veg snacks as usual at a special cash only price of Rs 850 per person. (you can have mocktails instead of beer). If we are lucky we will also do a brewery tour. Also available will be for those who pre-register with an advance of Rs 200 each, the Run 682 T shirts, Coffee mugs.
